Born on September 28, 1952, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, Floyd Edward Crumpton Sr. lived a life defined by love, laughter, and unwavering generosity. The eldest of three children to Frank Crumpton Sr.—the first Black Division Superintendent of Streets and Sanitation—and Betty Pendleton-Crumpton, Floyd’s journey took him from Arkansas to Chicago, where he built a legacy of kindness and integrity.
🌟 A Life of Service and Passion
Floyd dedicated over 30 years to the Cook County Sheriff’s Department and spent more than eight years at Chicago State University before retiring. His faith guided him from an early age as a devoted member of Membership Missionary Baptist Church. A gifted musician and talented DJ known as “DJ Rollinnnnnnngggg Wheels,” Floyd brought joy to every space he entered.
