Patricia Ford-Brown
Patricia Ford-Brown was born in Grenada, Mississippi, on March 29, 1958, to her parents Robert Lee Ford and Doretha Ford, both of whom predeceased her. Patricia was also preceded in death by her four sisters: Minnie Summers, Dorothy Ford, Carol Ford, and Louisa Pickett, and two brothers: Mark Anthony and Bobby Ford.
Patricia gave her life to Christ at an early age, beginning her spiritual journey at Fellowship Baptist Church and Holy Sanctuary Baptist Church. Later, she chose The Word Works Church as her spiritual covering under the leadership of Bishop Jeffrey Davis.
Patricia spent the majority of her career as a caregiver for her mother and disabled siblings. She also operated her own in-home childcare service, caring for the children of close family and friends.
Patricia received her education at Hess, Lathrop, and Collins High School on the west side of Chicago.
She cherished family time and looked forward to family outings, especially the weekends spent at Marlette’s house.
Patricia married her first love, Marlo Brown, in July of 1996, and God blessed this union abundantly.
Patricia leaves behind a loving family to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Marlo Brown; her daughters, Marlette, Sheena, Vinshawna, Nariah, and Skyler; her granddaughters, Raven Marshall (Brooke), Tatyana Malone (Shauntavia), Desiree, Tamia, McKinzie, and Sevyn; her grandsons, Marlo Jr., Machari, Malachai, Machai, and Messiah; her great-grandsons, Amere, King Carter, and Jaire; her sisters, Dianne Tribble, Sharon Jones, Marilyn Brown, Sheila, and Denise Ford; her brothers, James, Raymond, and Jeffrey; her cousin-sisters, Mary Parker, Bobbie Powell, Barbara Hicks, and Pamela Pratt, as well as Louisa (may she rest in peace); her only living aunt, Jannie Flowers; her sister-friends, Joyce Woodfork and Diane McConico; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
