Honoring the Life and Legacy of Kerry Darrell Burrell

Kerry Darrell Burrell lived a life beautifully defined by faith, family, friendship, and a love for sports. Affectionately known as "KB" on the basketball court, he carried the dedication and work ethic he developed as a youth through his years as a scholarship athlete at Bradley University and into a life devoted to those he loved. As a devoted husband to Kimberly, a loving son and brother, a faithful member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, and a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Kerry poured his generous heart into his family, his church, and his community. He was known for his quiet strength, his joyful spirit on the golf course and city streets he loved to explore, and his willingness to share wisdom—whether coaching junior caddies or offering dog-training advice to friends and strangers alike. His faith sustained him through difficult days, and the love he gave so freely left a lasting impression on his wife, family, fraternity brothers, and the many friends and loved ones who called him a companion in sport and in life.

This memorial page serves as a tribute to Kerry's life and the lasting legacy he leaves behind. His full obituary is shared here in loving remembrance of a man whose faith, love, and generosity continue to inspire all who knew him. We invite you to sign the guest book at the bottom of this page to share your memories, prayers, and messages of comfort as we celebrate and honor the remarkable life of Kerry Darrell Burrell.

Kerry was a friend, mentor, and a big brother to me in many ways. I still carry so many of the lessons I learned from him with me about friendship, business, and relationship building. He was the most generous and thoughtful person—but direct and quick to call you on your failings but also there to help you up and keep trudging through. It’s hard to believe he’s gone. My sincerest and deepest condolences to his family and friends and all those who knew and loved him. You will be missed and remembered.
